Below are some of our most frequently asked questions. Please review them. If your question is not answered here, feel free to contact us directly.

To schedule a session, whether private or group, please complete the Triangle Kambo application at this link. We will contact you with scheduling options once your form is received.

You’ll receive a detailed preparation email from us before your ceremony, but here’s a bit about how you should prepare:
Take time to set a clear intention for your session. This may be around physical healing, emotional release, clarity, or spiritual growth.
Come with an open mind and a willingness to surrender to the process. Kambo works on all levels - physical, emotional, and energetic.
You may wish to journal, meditate, or sit quietly the night before to connect with your intention.
Eat a light mean and get good rest the night before.
Hydrate well the day before, but avoid drinking more than ½–1 liter of water the morning of your session. (You will drink water during the ceremony.)
Avoid solid foods 8-12 hours before the ceremony.
-
Fasting the day before a Kambo session is not recommended. Eat clean, whole foods the day before and a light dinner. Hydrate well, ideally with added electrolytes. 8-12 hours before your session, you begin to fast, so stop eating around 9pm the night before. You should have nothing but water/coconut water the morning of.
For Kambo microdosing, you only need to fast for 2 hours prior to your session.

An open mind
Your intention for the ceremony
Water bottle
1 gallon of water (for full Kambo sessions)
A journal if you would like to capture reflections afterward
-
Please wear modest, comfortable clothing, ideally in white or light colors. Keep in mind that Kambo is typically applied to your shoulder, so sleeves loose enough to be rolled up to the shoulder, or tank tops are required.
-
Please read the detailed “What is a Kambo Session Like?” section on our Kambo page.
-
We prefer and recommend that the Kambo gates be made on the shoulder (either shoulder.) In our experience, it is the safest, least painful in terms of the burns, and most practical place to apply the gates. However, it is possible to apply the gates to other areas such as the back or ankle if need be. We do not apply gates over the chest area, in close proximity to the heart.
-
Purging (usually through vomiting, sometimes through the bowels) is a common part of the Kambo process, but it is not the only way the medicine works. Every body responds differently, and sometimes Kambo clears and resets the system without a dramatic purge.
Subtle Releases: You may sweat, shake, cry, yawn, or experience a strong emotional release instead of vomiting. These are all valid ways the body and energy field release blockages.
Silent Cleansing: The peptides in Kambo are still working within your body—stimulating the immune system, cleansing the lymph, resetting the nervous system—even if no visible purge happens.
Delayed Purge: Occasionally, the purge comes later in the day, through urine, bowel movement, or even dreams and emotions surfacing.
Your facilitator will observe your process carefully. Even if you don’t vomit, the medicine is doing its work. The most important thing is trusting your body and allowing the Spirit of Kambo to guide the healing in the way that is right for you.
-
The short answer is yes, but it depends.
If a deep cleanse is what the client needs, it is recommended to do a full traditional session, at least once, and only then follow up with microdosing session(s).
While microdosing involves just one small dot of Kambo secretion, the incredible peptides present in Kambo still enter the system and work their magic, and the client is still able to connect with the healing spirit of the frog. -
A private session is scheduled for up to 1 hour, including time to recuperate.
A group full Kambo session’s length depends on how many participants attend. It can be anywhere from 1-2.5 hours. We typically do not take more than 4-5 participants per group session and estimate 20-30 mins each.
Microdosing is 15 minutes long in terms of how long the secretion is on the participant. With prep time - opening of the ceremony, closing, etc., total length is approximately 45 min.
-
Once the Kambo dots have been removed, Dragon’s blood is applied to the gates to aid in healing. You will begin to feel back to normal 10-30 minutes after the dots are removed. During this time, you will be able to recline or lie comfortably and discuss your experience if you wish.
Most participants report feeling an increase in their vital energy, reduction and even removal of inflammation, and a general sense of wellbeing.
Once you have recuperated, you will be able to drive home. We suggest scheduling time to rest for a portion of the day afterward. Drink plenty of water and practice self car techniques.
The facilitator will follow up with you by email within a day of the session.
-
This is completely individual. A good number of participants feel the benefit of receiving Kambo regularly (once a month,) especially if dealing with an ongoing, chronic condition. Indigenous people also believe that having three Kambo sessions within one moon (30 days,) inoculates the receiver. This and other options can be discussed after the first session. Ultimately, it’s completely up to you and how you feel this medicine is helping you on your path.
-
Death or serious injuries from Kambo are rare. In the few instances they have been recorded, accordingly to my research, this happened because of the way Kambo was administered (into the bloodstream or in close proximity to the heart) or because of improper protocols followed on the part of the facilitator.
We at Triangle Kambo follow a very strict protocol and always lean on the side of caution.
We encourage you to do your own research. Kambo is an amazing medicine, but it is also a venom, and should be treated with the utmost respect.
That said, Kambo has the potential to be life-threatening for those who have any of the contraindicated conditions listed on our website. Please review this list. It is also imperative that you complete our Kambo health questionnaire thoroughly and honestly.
-
Yes, Kambo is legal in the USA. As of now, Kambo is not recognized as a medicine by the FDA.
-
No, it is not recommended to partake with Kambo while pregnant. Kambo is a very powerful medicine and there is no way to know how it will affect the pregnancy. We do not offer Kambo to pregnant women or those breastfeeding anyone under 6 months of age. If you are trying to conceive, we recommend you consult with your healthcare practitioner prior to using Kambo.
-
We do not recommend doing full Kambo while menstruating, though Kambo microdosing is okay.
-
This is a controversial topic.
We believe that Kambo alone is unlikely to cure Lyme. However, it may assist the body in healing and cleansing while other modalities are explored. People with Lyme have reported that Kambo, especially ongoing microdosing sessions, helps to manage their Lyme related symptoms. Everyone is different and there are no assurances with Kambo. The only way to see how you respond to Kambo is to try it for yourself.
-
Kambo by itself is unlikely to cure cancer. However, it may assist the body in healing while other treatments are applied. Kambo is not a replacement for medical treatment.
-
We offer Kambo in our ceremonial space in the form of private sessions and monthly group ceremonies. However, we may make exceptions and travel to offer Kambo at your location if you have arranged for a small, private group ceremony for an additional fee.
-
In a group ceremony, each participant receives Kambo individually, one at a time. When a participant receives the secretion, the other members of the group hold space. It means the total time of the session is longer. Some prefer it as they feel the energy of the group is supportive of their process, while others prefer a private session. It is a personal choice. Either way, during the experience, both the facilitator and assistant are there to closely support each participant as they receive and process the Kambo.
-
We offer full Kambo sessions in the morning as fasting of 8-12 hours is required and we don’t want you to be starving. It is recommended that the participants take the rest of the day off after the session to fully recuperate, if needed, and also to reflect and integrate the insights that come from the session as Kambo tends to, among other things, provide deep mental clarity. Rushing to work would be less beneficial in terms of results. Some people feel more energized after the session, some feel very tired and require rest.
For Kambo microdosing, typically less or no recuperation time is needed and the participant can go to work if they wish.
-
No. The Kambo secretion does not contain any psychedelic compounds. There have been participants in our ceremonies who have reported psychedelic-like visions, but that is unusual and not to be expected.
